Take the public bus. Save money and mingle with the locals. This will give you a greater cultural experience.

Eat at sodas (mom & pop restaurants) for cheap typical, local food like gallo pinto & casados. Delicious!

Travel can be slow on Costa Rica's bumpy roads. Small planes save time & are inexpensive if booked in advance.

Pack light. Cost Rica is a very casual country so you’ll need little more than shorts, tees & flip-flops.

Savor the local fruit. Mango, papaya, pineapple & exotic guanabana are SO fresh & delicious
