William provided us an excellent mangrove kayak tour. Previous reviews are very accurate. The tour is based out of his multi-Generation family farm. He is highly experienced and his family served us an excellent breakfast. We very highly recommend this tour

Below are some answers to frequently asked questions.
A: No, we don’t charge a booking fee or markup on the tours. The price you pay is the same as if you booked directly through the tour companies.
We can answer basic questions, but if you need more help, we recommend doing our full Tour Booking Service. This is a customized service where we give detailed activity recommendations in all your destinations, based on your interests. We include tours not on our website and help you schedule your activities so that you’re not too rushed. This service is $300 for a one-week trip and $500 for a two-week trip. Visit our Tour Booking Service page to get in touch.
A: We highly recommend booking anything you know you want to do in advance. Arranging activities last minute in Costa Rica is not always easy. Hotel concierges aren’t always knowledgeable, and tour companies can be slow to respond.
It’s always better to spend your time enjoying your vacation rather than planning it while you’re here! Plus, if you wait to book, the best tour companies could be full or have limited time slots available.
A: We recommend booking at least two weeks before your trip; however, we can usually accommodate bookings with at least two days’ notice. Popular tours can sell out so keep that in mind.
For Christmas/New Years and Easter travel, we recommend booking at least one month beforehand.
If you have a large group (8 or more people), it’s best to book at least a couple of months in advance.
We do not book tours more than six months in advance in case your plans change or the tour price changes.
A: Those dates are blocked off. We need at least two days’ notice to make the arrangements with the tour company, collect your payment, and then pay the tour company.
A: Tax will be added to your order when you check out. Costa Rica’s VAT (Value Added Tax) is 13%.
A: No, we are a travel agency that works with tour companies in Costa Rica that will provide the service to you.
A: We choose companies that provide the best experience possible. Unlike some travel agencies, we work with both large and small companies. Often the experience is better going through small, local companies that limit the group size.
We have worked with the companies we use for these tours for many years and have ensured that they have the necessary licenses and insurance in Costa Rica.
A: For most tours, you will see an option to book a private tour for an additional cost. This means that your transportation from your lodging to the starting point will be in a private van and you will have your own private guide.
During peak travel times (Christmas/New Years and Easter Week), tours are often full so private experiences can help you avoid the crowds.
A: Yes. Modifications are usually possible with at least one day’s notice, provided the tour company has availability.
Cancellation policies vary by tour company, but typically they allow for a full refund minus a cancellation fee as long as you provide at least 24-48 hours’ notice. Some tour companies require more notice. The specific policy will be on the tour page and your order confirmation.
We highly recommend getting travel insurance for your trip to protect your investment. Here are two articles with more information:
Why You Should Get Travel Insurance for Costa Rica – We share the story of friends visiting who didn’t have travel insurance and needed it.
