Kids Saving the Rainforest Wildlife Sanctuary Tour
Kids Saving the Rainforest is a wonderful wildlife center outside Quepos that rescues and rehabilitates rainforest animals that have been injured, orphaned in the wild, or held illegally as pets. It’s also a good way to see wildlife close up. The Center is about 20 minutes from Manuel Antonio.
Some of the animals you will see at the sanctuary are five types of monkeys, including spider monkeys, white-faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, tamarins, and marmosets. You also can see other animals like sloths, kinkajous, anteaters, and parrots. You’ll get the story behind each animal and learn how they are being helped.
Cost: $60 per person adults plus 13% tax; $45 per person children ages 3-17 plus 13% tax. Free for children under 3. Proceeds go to the animals.
Offered: 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. Closed Mondays.
Duration: 2 hours (approximate)
Includes: Snack (fresh fruit), drinks, and use of pool after the tour if desired.
*Transportation available from Manuel Antonio for $6 per person.
