Enjoy door-to-door shuttle van and boat service from La Fortuna (Arenal) to Monteverde or Santa Elena. A professional driver will pick you up at your hotel or vacation rental and bring you to the shores of Lake Arenal. You will then board a small covered boat. Your luggage will also be safely loaded onto the boat.
The boat ride is about 1 hour and you can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains as well as Arenal Volcano (clouds permitting). Another van will be waiting for you on the other side of the lake. The van driver will make a short stop (later in the ride) for a bathroom and coffee break before you get to Santa Elena and Monteverde. Total trip time is around 3.5 hours.

The boat ride was fun and scenic. The drive from the lake drop off to Monteverde portion was not great.but not horrible. Very scenic but road condition could it better not just this road but all over Costa Rica as locals well know. Driver was awesome! We stoped at scenic spots. Lunch break by butterfly garden was awesome. Really nice way to see the country. Highly recommend!
