Manuel Antonio is about 1 hour from Jaco but totally worth it and you could make a day out of visiting the area. This is for a guided national park tour only, so best if you will have a rental car. The meeting location is near the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park (we will provide an exact map point). If you need transportation, you can book a tour with transport instead.

Manuel Antonio National Park is the most popular park in Costa Rica, and for good reason. This park is home to an abundance of wildlife, including three types of monkeys, sloths, deer, lizards, and many kinds of birds. The park also has two very nice beaches that are calm for swimming and changing rooms and bathrooms.

With the help of your naturalist guide, you will take to the trails to learn about the area’s flora and fauna. Guides are nice to have because they will help you spot more with their trained eye. There are guides lined up outside the park entrance every morning, but many of them are not certified naturalists so you have to be careful. The guides that we work with are well-respected naturalists who know a lot about the area’s flora and fauna. 

We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance as park tickets often sell out.

Cost of Group Tour (8-10 people max): $53 per person adults. $44 per person children ages 5-11. $5 per person children ages 2-4. Rates plus 13% tax. Free for children under 2. 

Offered: 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. every day except Tuesday (the national park is closed). 

Duration: 3 hours (approximate)

Includes: Bilingual certified naturalist guide, park entrance fee, water (bring your own bottle to refill – no plastic allowed), and a snack outside the park after the tour. 

*No food is permitted in the park but is available for purchase at a cafe inside.
