Zipline and Chocolate Tour Near Jaco
This combo lets you do two fun activities at Vista Los Suenos Adventure Park in one day.
Zipline Tour: The zipline tour starts with a short tractor ride up the mountain to the first platform. With thick rainforest all around, the bilingual guides will clip you in and let you take off on the first zipline. In total, the tour has 10 cables and 12 platforms. The longest line is 2,400 feet (732 meters), the longest in the area. You can even go upside down on one of the cables (optional).
Throughout the course, you’ll get to enjoy some amazing rainforest views as you zip through the treetops. On some of the lines, you can also see the ocean.
The guides are really fun, while also emphasizing safety (there is a detailed safety briefing before the tour). They keep group sizes small so you’re not waiting in long lines.
Chocolate Tour: This tour is a nice way to get to know the culture. It starts with a short walk through a cacao forest to see cacao trees from all over the world. Your bilingual guide will teach you about these interesting trees with their brightly colored red, brown, yellow, and green pods.
You’ll then move onto the chocolate station to learn how chocolate is made. Much of the tour is hands-on. You’ll have a chance to shell the dried cacao with a giant mortar and pestle and use a hand grinder to churn the beans into gooey chocolate.
The best part is all the delicious tastings. You’ll enjoy homemade hot chocolate and samples of milk chocolate and rich dark chocolate.

Lunch is available for $19 pp: Buffet with a variety of salads, traditional Costa Rican food (e.g., rice with chicken; rice and beans), grilled meat, fish, and vegetarian options. Includes a fresh fruit drink, coffee, and dessert. Craft beer, wine, and cocktails available for an additional charge. The restaurant is open starting at 12:00 p.m.
Transportation is available for an additional $6 pp.
Minimum Age: 4. Young children will zipline tandem with a guide.
Zipline Weight Restrictions: The weight limit is 250 lbs (115 kg). But if you are more than 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall, you can most likely do the tour even if you exceed the weight limit. You just need to be able to fit into the harness.
There is no minimum weight requirement. Children who are very light will go tandem with a guide.
