We are planning on starting out in Playa del Coco for 4 to 5 weeks. We will do day trips from here but would like suggestions on which ones would be good from this location. Any suggestions on areas to visit and/or stay at for the remainder of our trip? We’re open to moving a couple of times.

Hi lindag,
With that much time in Playas del Coco, you could explore most of the Guanacaste region. Maybe take a look at our Map page for some of the articles we have written about the area. As for where to go in addition, you could check out the areas of La Fortuna and Monteverde, or go down to Manuel Antonio or the Costa Ballena. All will be very different from Playas del Coco.
